Tour Captain's Report
by Bob Love

On the way to Emil Villa's on Saturday I crossed the Golden Gate bridge and was treated to an extraordinary sight. Looking out to sea on the west was the setting full moon highlighting the rocks at Pt. Bonita. To the east the sun was still below the east bay hills but the sky was a beautiful blue. The bay was relatively calm with a purplish color. A memorable sight that was but a small reminder of the beautiful place we all are lucky enough to ride in.

The tour left Emil Villa's with 6 riders and proceeded north on 101 to Lucas Valley Rd. We headed to the coast on Lucas Valley, Nacascio, and Pt. Reyes - Petaluma roads joining highway 1 just north of Pt. Reyes Station. No danger of u-turns on this tour. We went north and had lunch at the harbor on the Noyo River in Ft. Bragg. After lunch we continued north on 1 to the junction of 101. Here we added 1 rider and lost 1 rider. North on 101 to Garberville and on to Redway. From Redway we took the fun Shelter Cove Rd to our campsite which was beautifully located overlooking the ocean where we had a great BBQ dinner of ribs or chicken. I think we can all agree the folks at the campground took good care of us.
