Updated Sept 21, 2006 (Tour route added- see below)

The tour will leave from Denny’s Restaurant  at 2006 Somersville Rd. Antioch, CA 94509 at 8:30 a.m.. Denny’s is just South of Rt. 4 on Somersville Rd. From Antioch we will head up 160 Isleton Rd. and over Twin Cities Rd. to Ione. From there depending on time we will head through Placerville or Pine Grove. The total route should be about 250 miles. This month it might be nice to arrive at the camp in the early afternoon and then have some time to ride around the side of Lake Tahoe before the meeting. If you are a GS rider you can find a lot of double track in the area to explore before dinner. Be sure to check the club website for tour route updates and changes as this route has not yet had a pre-ride and is subject to adjustments.

Sugar Pine Point State Park is located along Rt. 89 near Tahoma right on the shore of Lake Tahoe. I have reserved the group site #3 for Saturday night. It should be good weather and a cool evening. Hopefully we will see some fall color along the way up to the campground.

We will start the ride with a brief meeting to go over the route and general safety rules. I will distribute maps and written directions to all of the riders. Please be on time, and everyone is strongly encouraged to ride within your limits. There is no reason to rush this month as the route will allow for us to reach camp with plenty of time for relaxation and story telling.
