'49er Rally Facts:

First Aid: Should the need arise, contact Rally Headquarters or Security.

Speed: The speed limit within the fairgrounds is 5 M.P.H.

Wooden Nickels: Good for one regular beer, wine cooler, or large soda in the Beer Garten only. 2 Nickels gets you a microbrew.

Wristband: You'll be issued a wristband at registration. Please leave your wristband on for the duration of the Rally.

Security: We have 24 hour security in radio contact with Rally Officials. When entering, please come to a complete stop and show Security your wristband.

Dealer Support: San Jose BMW will have a large spread in the Vendor Building, and will be providing assistance to those with mechanical troubles at the Rally. Contact San Jose BMW at the Rally or by calling (408)295-0205. They will be open Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Appointments for scheduled service are welcome and should be made well in advance to ensure a spot in the service queue.

At Rally Headquarters:

Register for the Individual Awards; it is your responsibility. You do not need to be preregistered, but turn your entry form in by 2 PM Sunday. Club Awards statistics will be taken from the preregistration forms. Remember, the deadline for awards forms is 2:00 PM.

Deposit your door prize ticket - its the Red one - write your name on the back - but remember: YOU MUST BE PRESENT TO WIN - or have a trusted friend claim the prize for you. NO TICKET - NO PRIZE.

Register for the Poker Run and have a chance of winning a 1 oz or 1/2 oz Gold Coin, or one of several uncirculated Silver Dollars. Purchase and play as many hands as you like.

Buy your 50/50 Drawing ticket here - or be on the lookout for the 50/50 Ticket salesperson. 1st prize is 25% of the pot, 2nd prize 15%, 3rd prize 10%, the rest subsidizes NorCal's Election Meeting Drawing. Prizes given at the Awards Ceremony - But remember: No ticket, No prize!

MOTORCYCLE PARKING: In order to maximize the space available for tent camping, we are strongly encouraging everyone to park their bikes off the grass. Wherever you park, please be considerate of others and avoid blocking traffic flow or others parked around you.

CAMPING: Please camp anywhere you like within the fairgrounds. Note the area outside the Vendor Building where we'll have outdoors sales displays for your shopping pleasure. All of the livestock buildings and pole barns are open for camping, as are the meadows and grassy spots around them. Feel free to explore the entire grounds before you settle in, especially as the main camping areas fill up. Please respect fairgrounds property, and use the trash barrels you'll find liberally sprinkled throughout the grounds.

MOTORHOMES AND 4 WHEEL VEHICLES: In order to maximize the space available for tent camping we require you to site RV campers in the RV parking area. Our Rally Staff will assist you in locating electric and water hookups. These spaces are limited, but ample room is available in the upper Motorhome Parking lot. As in past years, RV parking is offered on a "first come, first served" basis, and availability is not guaranteed. Those arriving with a "support staff" in 4 wheeled vehicles are permitted to enter the fairgrounds long enough to unload, then must park the vehicle in the lot outside Registration or in the Motorhome parking areas.

SHOWERS: The locations of on site showers are marked on the map. Should you experience problems with these services please let one of the Rally staff know so that we can set things straight as quickly as possible.

Attendance: Participation in our Rally is for the benefit of the BMW community and their guests, and shall be at the discretion of the Rally Committee. Participants and guests causing unreasonable disruption will be evicted from the Rally Grounds without refund or recourse.

On behalf of the BMW Club of Northern California, we welcome you to the Rally, and we hope we'll see you there!
